The easiest (and most entertaining) way to support Bench Theatre is to come and see our productions, most of which are held at The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, Havant. More information about forthcoming performances is on our home page. If you already come along, please help us further by spreading the word and bringing your friends.
If you're interested in getting involved, one of the best ways to get the measure of the company is to come along and meet us at a show or a club night. Many new members have told us how welcome and included we've made them feel, and the social life which can go with becoming a Bench member is an added bonus. You can find out most things about us from our website too; reading about our history and our productions will give you a feel for the sort of company we are. If you would like to join, we are always keen to welcome new members, both active on and off the stage.
Most importantly, we're keen to include anyone with the enthusiasm to be part of Bench Theatre; whilst you will audition to act in a show, you DON'T need to audition to join the company. There are two types of Membership:
Full membership is necessary to perform on stage or assist backstage. Full members are also able to propose plays for production and vote at play selection meetings. (The play selection process is open and democratic.)
If you are Under 18, please read our Under 18 Bench Policy.
Friends of the Bench membership is offered to those who wish to join and support the Bench, see our productions, but not actively be involved in staging them.
Both classes of membership offer:
Full annual membership costs £50.00, Friends of the Bench annual membership costs £35. (Concessions for the unwaged, i.e. students, retired etc).
To join Bench Theatre:
Please note membership cards must be offered at The Spring Box Office when claiming your free member ticket(s)
Free member tickets are for the named member only, are not transferable to family and/or friends.
